Website
What is website development?
Website development covers the path from idea to launch — structure, design, implementation and handover. The goal is a fast mobile experience, sensible discoverability on Google and a stack you can maintain. Since 2010 I’ve helped Danish companies with everything from lean company sites to larger webshops.
Most often we land on WordPress for content-heavy sites or Shopify/WooCommerce when you need to sell online. The platform follows your operational needs, not a one-size-fits-all template. You get training so you can update copy and imagery without opening a ticket for every tweak.
Many enquiries come because there is no site yet or the current one no longer reflects the business. A fresh build can lift credibility, clarify offers and give customers obvious next steps. I work at DKK 650/hour — often below typical agency rates — and you get a written scope before we start.
I work directly with owners and marketing leads in SMBs: no account managers and short decision paths. Share audience, offer and how you want to run the site day to day — we’ll pick an approach that survives inside your team.
Website development for small and medium businesses
Whether you need a simple company site, a shop or a campaign page, we begin with an independent discovery call. I review priorities, constraints and technical assumptions — then you get a quote you can compare without hidden line items.
Clients are often sole traders, startups or companies around 5–50 employees. I’ve shipped projects in fashion, food & beverage, crafts and consulting — what matters is your requirements, not the industry label.
After launch you should be able to run the site yourself. That’s why I favour editor-friendly platforms and document the admin flows. Timelines depend on scope; I don’t promise delivery dates I can’t defend.
My process
How I run your web project
1. Contact & discovery
You email or call. We map goals, audience and what the site must support — lead capture, bookings, commerce, etc. Deeper questions upfront prevent surprises later.
2. Quote & planning
You receive pricing, boundaries and a calendar. Once approved we align content, design touchpoints and any integrations so build time is well spent.
3. Build & design
I implement with performance and mobile first, and technical SEO that supports your content. You get visibility during the build and space to steer direction.
4. Training & launch
We walk the admin together — copy, media, orders (for shops) and basic troubleshooting. Only then do we go live. Aftercare is available hourly or via clip cards.
Services
What can I build for you?
Company sites
Professional company sites
WordPress builds for story, proof and contact — structured so Google can index meaningfully. Often 5–15 pages, scaled to need; visual design ties back to your brand.
Webshops
Shopify or WooCommerce
Shops with payments, shipping and catalogues on Shopify or WooCommerce. I align the stack with how you operate — MobilePay, Stripe and Danish carriers where relevant.
Landing pages
Campaigns that convert
Focused pages for Google Ads, newsletters or social campaigns. One primary call to action and fewer distractions than a full corporate site.
After launch
Maintenance
Once live you may need new sections, speed work or plugin updates. Ongoing help runs hourly or on clip cards.

Frequently asked questions
How much does website development cost?
I work at DKK 650/hour excl. VAT. A straightforward company site often lands around DKK 15,000–30,000; webshops usually cost more. You get a concrete quote after a short, no-obligation scoping call.
How long does a typical web project take?
A simple company site can be live in 2–4 weeks. Larger builds with a webshop or many pages often take 1–3 months. You get a realistic timeline before we start.
What’s included when you build my site?
Typically: design setup, content structure, mobile-friendly layouts, a solid SEO foundation and training so you can edit copy and images yourself. WordPress or Shopify keeps you from unnecessary lock-in.
Can you build both a company site and a webshop?
Yes — company sites, landing pages and shops on Shopify or WooCommerce. The stack follows your business needs, not convenience for the developer.
How do we get started?
Email hello@jonasgoldberg.dk or call 53 35 48 58. Briefly: what you offer, who the site is for and what you need to manage in the back end. I’ll reply with a no-obligation proposal — usually within 2 hours on weekdays.
Do you work with clients across Denmark?
Yes. Everything runs remotely — email, phone and video. You don’t need to be in Copenhagen or Aarhus to get the same follow-up as a local client.
Should I choose WordPress or Shopify?
WordPress shines for content-heavy company sites and can grow into a shop with WooCommerce. Shopify is often right when the focus is a lean, scalable store with less infrastructure overhead. I recommend what fits your day-to-day operations.
Do you help after the site goes live?
Yes — updates, new pages, performance work, plugins and fixes are billed hourly or via clip cards so you’re not left without support after launch.
Ready for the next step?
Send a short note about your project — I’ll reply with a suggested structure, timeline and price. No commitment.
